To keep optimally connected, all electrolysis cell elements are one of the most important design criteria. According to the design, the material usage is most important one. It will increase the cell performance and cell life. The compression pressure can be controlled by the different materials. EPDM is one of them. Pressure points distribution depends on the stiffness and thickness of the gasket materials.

EPDM

EPDM stands for Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer, which is a bit of a mouthful, so it's commonly shortened to EPDM or EPDM rubber used in a range of applications. EPDM is used most commonly used in the automotive and construction industries for various seals due to its excellent resistance to environmental factors such as Ozone, UV and general weathering.

EPDM rubber gaskets are more resistant to wear from abrasion and are formulated to resist harsh chemicals such as acids and alkalis. EPDM gasket material is ideal for applications involving hydrocarbon oils and petroleum products, which typically produce swelling in many other gasket materials.

 

Custom EPDM gaskets made of closed cell sponge rubber are used in HVAC systems, electrical enclosures, and door and window seals on cars. Die cut EPDM gaskets made of open cell sponge rubber are used in applications such as shock absorption and electrical insulation.

 

Life Time of EPDM: EPDM roof membranes remain stable over time and can have a life expectancy of over 50 years. Made from synthetic rubber, EPDM roofing membranes have two primary ingredients, ethylene and propylene, which are derived from oil and natural gas.

Platinum Plated Titanium Sheet Anode for Electrolysis

The improved method for effecting the electrolysis of an alkaline chloride solution with an improved platinum plated titanium sheet, as well as to means for preparing an activated platinum coated titanium electrode which provides improved operating results.

Electrolysis is the passing of a DC Current through on conducting solution (which is known as electrolyte) producing chemical reactions at the titanium sheet. The main components required to achieve electrolysis are an electrolyte, electrodes, and an external power source. A partition (e.g. an ion-exchange membrane or a salt bridge) is optional to keep the products from diffusing to the vicinity of the opposite electrode.

The electrolyte is a chemical substance which contains free ions and carries electric current (e.g. an ion-conducting polymer, solution, or a ionic liquid compound). If the ions are not mobile, as in most solid salts, then electrolysis cannot occur. The electrodes are immersed separated by a distance such that a current flows between them through the electrolyte and are connected to the power source which completes the electrical circuit.

Platinum Plated titanium anode is an insoluble anode, platinum plating and titanium substrate with a solid, stable performance, can replace pure gold, pure platinum anode, for gold and other precious metals plating tank.

Platinised titanium Sheets combine the excellent electrochemical characteristics of platinum with the good corrosion qualities of titanium.  This anode is designed for Electro Plating application.

PROCESS, REDUCTION AND BENEFITS OF CHEMICAL OXYGEN DEMAND (COD) REDUCTION

PROCESS OF COD

 

Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) is used as a measure of organic impurities in water and is expressed in milligrams per litre (mg/L) or parts per million (ppm).

The most common application of COD is quantifying the amount of oxidants impurities which are found in water.  COD test can be used to read the level of organics in water.

Regulators enforce limits on the maximum amount of COD allowed in wastewater before it enters the environment and the local utility provider stipulates levels for effluent going to sewer. Business which use water in their manufacturing processes must be mindful of the level of COD in their wastewater.

REDUCTION OF COD IN WASTEWATER

Primary and secondary treatment removes around 75-85% COD, but the hard-to-treat COD remains. in order to meet regulatory standards, additional treatment is often required.

Systems can be retrofitted into an existing treatment train to improve treatment capacity or as an individual process, dependent on removal requirements.

Because of the lack of dosing chemicals in the process, treated wastewater can also be safely reclaimed and reused for other purposes, saving money and addressing high water demands in times of shrinking supplies.

 Tiaano’s ultrafiltration (UF) this filter has a pore size around 0.01 micron. A micro filter has a pore size around 0.1 micron, so when water undergoes microfiltration many microorganisms are removed but viruses remain in the water. Ultrafiltration (UF) would remove these larger particles and may remove some viruses. Neither microfiltration nor ultrafiltration (UF) can remove dissolved substances unless they are first (with activated carbon) or coagulation.

Ultrafiltration (UF) removes Bactria, protozoa and some viruses from the water. Nano filtration removes these microbes, as well as most natural organic matters and some natural minerals, especially divalent irons which cause hard water.

The principal of ultrafiltration (UF) is a variety of membrane filtration in which hydraulic pressure membranes suspend solids and solutes of high molecular weight are retained while water and low molecular weight solutes pass through the membrane

Tiaano’s Electro-floatation (EF) is a physical chemical method of water treatment from isolable (dispersed) substances. Electro-floatation (EF) method is based on conduction the water electrolysis on insoluble and floatation effect. While carrying out the water electrolysis, gas bubbles of oxygen and hydrogen are generated at the anode and cathode respectively. In Electro-floatation (EF) process when gas bubbles rise up to the liquid surface due to the density difference between gas and liquid phases they are faced with dispersed particles of pollution adhere to them and float them to the water surface to form a stable flotosludge layer, which is later removed by skimmers or other mechanical devices.
