Potassium Perchlorate
|
Potassium Perchlorate is the inorganic salt with the chemical formula KClO4. It is a strong oxidizing agent. It is a color less crystalline solid.
It is used in fireworks, ammunition for percussion caps , explosives primers It is also used in propellants, flash composite and sparklers. |
Process |
Potassium per chlorate is prepared industrially by aqueous solution of sodium per chlorate with potassium chloride.
NaClO4 + KCl --> KClO4 + NaCl
